Her research interests are mainly in the field of socio-economic development of rural areas, the essence of sustainable development and its features in the context of rural areas, defining strategies for managing sustainable development of the agricultural sector at the regional level.
Her research has focused on companies from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Chinese. Her experience of pedagogical and scientific work is over 15 years, has about 100 publications.
Participation in the implementation of the state budget project 2018-2019. “Institutional support for sustainable development of rural areas in the context of administrative-territorial reform” (state registration number 0117U004254).
He is the head of an international research grant «Sustainable development policy: EU Countries Experience» within the framework of a joint project between the Czech Development Agency and the Czech University of Natural Sciences 2020-2021.

Since 2020 she has been a certified trainer-consultant in preparing the business for state inspections in the field of agricultural and food safety (Alimentarius system management).
Natalia Stoyanets research-wise is active in the field of sustainable development (see CV) and has a role (meaningful module) in the course “Life cycle assessment: EU best practices” and due to her excellent management skills, she alongside Oleh Pasko is responsible (general manager) for Winter school on EU best practices in LCA, SEA and SR.
Since the 2010s, she has been studying the socio-economic development of rural areas with the subsequent transition to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, taking into account the impact of environmental, economic, social and institutional determinants (the list confirms this).
