On November 9, 2022, within the framework of the project “Rethink waste week” of the program “Production and dissemination of circular economy ideas in accordance with the EU Action Plan”, implemented on the basis of the Sumy National Agrarian University during November 7-11, a debate tour of “Circular Economy” students took place.
In total, there were 8 teams, among which 4 topics were distributed for discussion, and one of the faculties had to be “for” and the other “against”. The debate took place in the format of Karl Popper. Lyudmila VARENYK was the moderator. Judges: Olga ROHOVENKO, Daryna HROMYCHENKO, Darya KRAVCHENKO.
So, let’s summarize:
● 1st place was won by the team of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology;
● 2nd place was taken by students of the Faculty of Construction;
● 3rd place goes to the team of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
Yaroslava ZHEVNYAK, a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, received the award for the most effective arguments during the debate round. The participant shares her impressions: “I took part in the debate for the first time. For the future, she singled out several factors that play an important role on the way to victory. First, you must not be afraid, not nervous, and behave freely and relaxed. Secondly, it is necessary to correctly distribute the roles of the first, second and third speakers among the team members. Just enjoy the atmosphere and the acquired knowledge. Personally, I value this experience very much and received the brightest emotions from the debate tour. Each participant was cool in different ways. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the team of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, which became our opponent, for a tense and fun debate tour for everyone present in the hall.”
