Sumy NAU scientists took part in the international conference “Resource Sustainability”, which was held on July 19-23, 2021 at the University College Dublin in Ireland. The conference was co-organized by the University of Michigan. The conference program icRS 2021 Program included more than 180 speakers from Europe, America, Asia, Africa, Australia and Oceania. The conference was held with the support of a number of journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor&Francis.
At the conference, Tetyana Shevchenko, coordinator of the international project “ACET&I”, made a presentation on the topic “Circular Data Framework throughout the whole value chain from mining to manufacturing, from refurbishing to recycling”. According to SNAU scientists, there is currently a need to create a single conceptual framework of indicators for measuring progress towards a circular economy model, which would cover a wide range of activities within the full resource cycle. This study is aimed at developing a system of indicators of the circular model for enterprises of various sectors of the economy based on the assessment of the full value chain from the extraction of raw materials to the production of the final product, from remanufacturing of used products to recycling.
