To acquaint young people with the consequences of climate change and opportunities to combat it, Sumy National Agrarian University on September 23 organized a bicycle race “Ride together to fight climate change.”
The event took place in the format of a bike quest. About 50 participants, in three teams, rode bicycles along a certain route through the picturesque locations of Sumy. At certain points, volunteers were waiting for them with tasks dedicated to ecology and climate change. The teams that completed the task faster than others and reached the finish line received valuable gifts from SNAU.
This bike ride was the first event in the framework of the large-scale Jean Monnet Chair project “EU Climate Leadership”. The project aims to promote the EU’s experience in combating climate change. In the future, the project participants will have a number of meetings, lectures and trainings on environmental issues. All in order to educate a conscious generation of young Ukrainians.
